Bruce Corn gave the Malheur County Court a letter requesting our non-profit organization be member-in-standing for the bi-weekly conference call with state agencies and Idaho Power regarding the expansion of the energy grid. They accepted our proposal without any debate. The next meeting will be Jan 15th and will include a member of our committee. The Owyhee Irrigation District will also be approaching the Department of Energy and BLM requesting that the OID be reconized as an organization for coordination, which will give us another voice at the table.
Senator Ted Ferrioli arrives in Ontario today for a tour of the affected areas and a Town Hall meeting at the Boulevard Grange tonight at 6:30. He is interested in your feedback to the issues facing our community.
The meeting with Tom Nelson will be Monday night at 7:00 p.m. instead of Tuesday as reported in the Argus.
